The Rebel by Alice Ward

I received an ARC for and honest review.
I loved this book. Sean is the lovable bad boy turned good that thinks he’s still bad (if that makes sense). This is a love story, with , of course a man and women, but also with a man that through no fault of his own, is estranged from his 8 year old daughter. I loved seeing him earn her trust and love more than anything. There is this beautiful venerability to Sean. He is insecure because of poor decisions. He is compelled to do the right thing, especially for his daughter. Taylor was also a lovable character. She brings so much to Sean’s life. This was a wonderful read!!!!

The Unrequited by Saffron A. Kent

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I just finished this book and all I can say is wow! Well obviously I’m going to say more than that. This was a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Reading this story I laughed, I cried, I gasped, a wanted to hit someone, but in the end, I just sighed as tears ran down my face.

Layla is by far one of the most interesting characters that I have ever read. This book hooked me from the first page and I could not put it down! The love story between Thomas and Layla is unconventional, taboo, and extremely complicated. However their chemistry was insane.

I am a new fan of Saffron A. Kent. I recommend this book with all my heart!!!

This one is to hard to rate…sorry:(

On My Knees by Meredith Wild

The Bridge Series book 1

So, by the title, one might think this is a BDSM book. It’s not. I read the Hacker series by Meredith Wild and became an instant fan, and, here we are. You enter this story as Cameron comes back from boot camp to see his girlfriend at college. They explore each other and reconnect, and it becomes obvious that Cameron and Maya are soul mates. Completely and totally in love. Things quickly change when he realizes that he has to ship out and he doesn’t want to leave her, so he proposes. She just can’t impulsively say yes for the obvious reasons of her age and her circumstances, still being in school, along with things he doesn’t know about. He leaves, destroyed, rejected, and doesn’t look back. They are both heartbroken. Then, five years later, they realize they both live in the city, and the story begins. This is a beautiful love story of second chances, and learning to trust. Cameron is adorably tenacious in his pursuit of broken Maya. This book does not end in a cliff hanger, so, happy dance commencing! There is a book 2 (that I am starting today) but it is about two other characters. Wonderful start to the series.

Be with me by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This is book 2 in the wait for you series. As you know I accidentally read out of order, book 4 then 1 now 2. This wasn’t my favorite, I’m sorry to say. Jase, Tess’s big brothers best friend, was the hot crush she never got over. Jase has so many issues, it’s a little annoying. He’s cold then hot then cold then hot. My heart hurts for Tess as she deals with getting over the hurt from an abusive ex, the guilt that her brothers life took a hit as he beat the pulp out of said ex boyfriend and recieves punishment for it. What else, she hurt her knee jeapodizing her dancing career. Then hurt it again, ending her chances of ever dancing again. The list goes on and on as to what this girl endures. And through it all, Jase pulls his relationship, bi polar tendencies. It was all ok for me until she just forgave him so quickly after he pushed her away for the last time. I mean, make him grovel a little. This book was ok, better than I’m making it seem. Just, not as good as 1 and 4. But… I am onto number 3!

Wait for you by Jennifer L. Armentrout writing as J. Lynn

This is book one in the wait for you series. It was just, wonderful! Avery is a girl with a tragic incident in her childhood, and no one to back her up and support her. Going to college, far away from a life she wants to separate from, she starts over. She makes friends. And she meets the delicious Cameron. Cam is relentless in his perusal of her. He is also patient and faithful to his heart and his feelings. Cam, having his own demons as we all do, befriends Avery as they begin to heal together.

It’s just such a great story! Such captivating writing! J. Lynn…you make me smile!!!
