Rule Him by Gisele St. Claire

I received an ARC for an honest review.
This is one of the smartest student/teacher romances that I have ever read. I fell in love with both characters right away. Candy…bravo to Ms. St. Claire for that fabulous name! Candace Appleton! I love it!!! She is to mature for any of the boys her age. In walks the new English teacher. They have instant chemistry, physically and of intellect. She wants to be a writer and he recognizes her passion from their first study session. Their romance plays out so organically. Of course being a forbidden love type of book, they run into obstacles, but again, so beautifully written. It is with a satisfied sigh that I whole heartedly recommend this yummy book!

Small Town Scandal by Daisy Prescott

I received an ARC for an honest review.
I have never read anything by Daisy Prescott, and I usually don’t like second chances romances. But this one won me over. I usually get caught up in the heart ache and the time lost. The story was just so believable. Kids, pressured apart by parents and familial stupidity. Now coming into their own. They tackle their feelings, the town, her reputation, and how she feels she is seen. Every chapter was titled with a derogatory name for a woman such as slut, easy, etc. That was very sobering for me. It hurts to think of the double standards for men and women. The author did a great job of driving this point home.
The love story was beautiful. Their rekindling was heart warming and full of chemistry. All in all, this was a really fun read!

Trust by Kylie Scott

I received and ARC for an honest review.

This book starts out with a literal bang…a robbery that is frighteningly real. My heart was pounding as if I was living through the robbery with our heroin, Edie. The story progresses so beautifully and is perfectly paced. John and Edie meet during the robbery. He saves her life, and is the most unlikely hero, as he is the local drug dealer. The robbery changes both of their lives forever. I love the relationship between John and Edie. I love the relationship between Edie and her mother. This story moved me. Kylie Scott has a huge fan in me!! This is a stand alone, although I would love to read more about their best friends!!!

Daddy’s Bought Virgin by Roxeanne Rolling

I received an ARC for an honest review.

The title makes this sound like it’s going to be this completely taboo subject matter, but it is nothing like that.
Olivia is down to her last dollar thanks to her gambling addicted father. David needs to clean up his image to keep his daughter away from her drug addicted mother.Put the two together and voila, you have the makings of a beautiful relationship. There are a lot of twists and turns, and sometimes I just want to punch David, but he wins me over in the end.

This is a steamy, nice, read.

Fallen Crest Forever by Tijan

Fallen Crest Forever by Tijan
I’m not giving anything away, I think, but since it’s in the first paragraph…OMG, she said yes!!!!!! I was on pins and needles and had to wait a whole 8 hours for her answer!!! (Going from the end of Home to Forever).

I’ve been trying to figure out why I am so in love with this series, with this book. The loyalty has always been a reason. The way Mason, Logan, and Samantha have bonded and stayed together is beautiful. But in this book, I think what stands out to me is that they are, what every person who has ever been bullied, who has ever been truly alone, wishes they had. Not many have experienced the type of aloneness that Sam had. A parent left, boyfriend cheating with her best friend, friends desert her, and then she moves in with the enemy. For those of us that have experienced it, we know Sam’s responses are spot on. We wished there was a Logan to make us laugh and watch our back as a brother. We wish that our soul mate was there too, to end the utter loneliness. Sam is rescued and in return rescues her new step brother and fiancé. I love this series! I love these characters! I’m going to miss them, but I think that will only make me do a re read sooner! The end of this book and this series is utterly satisfying. I finished 4 hours ago and am still tearing up, in a good way. Thank you, Tijan for this beautiful world you created for us!

It rates a 10 ++++ on everything!!

Hundreds by Pepper Winters

I received an ARC for an honest review.

This is book 3 in the Dollar series.

Pennies had my heart bleeding for a soul that could be bought, sold and used like a pair of shoes. Dollars had me wondering if that same soul had any chance at “normal” after eunduring two years at the hand of cruelty.

Hundreds gave me hope. Pimlico, finds her voice and her fight, and wants to over come. Elder is kind and strives to be self possessed , even if he is obsessed with her. Each book has me falling more in love with these completely broken characters. With every page, I see how they were created for one another and through the storms of life, have become even more of a perfect fit. I do not want to give anything away. Just let me say, Pepper Winters is an artist that has created a love that is like nothing I have ever read.

Loved it!!! Can’t wait for thousands!!!

Brighter than the Sun by Maya Banks

This is a KGI Novel.

I love Maya Banks. I love the KGI series. I love this book. This was a sweet love story. Joe Kelly is the youngest of the Kelly son’s, and the last one that is still single, and happily so. Zoe, is a distraught, extremely insecure young woman on the run from her mobster father and her abusive and homicidal ex boyfriend. She turns to her only friend, Rusty, Joe’s adopted sister for sanctuary. Joe see’s Zoe, and just like that, his desire to be single is history. He has a lot to over come with Zoe’s insecurities, but he’s up for the challenge. Their chemistry is good and their story is sweet. Here is my problem, or maybe it’s not a problem. There is a sub story. You are introduced to Rusty, Joe’s adopted sister, and Sean, an honorary part of the Kelly family, from the very beginning of this series. Their chemistry is off the charts. Their story leaves me breathless. However, this is not their book, I am hoping that theirs will be next. The parts of this book with Sean and Rusty, on it’s own, were amazing. So, this whole book was a home run, slam dunk and every other sports phrase you can think of!
