Get It On by J. Kenner

Get it on by J. Kenner

I am voluntarily reviewing this arc.

This is, by far, my favorite of this series. It’s a second chance story. Young love. Beautiful and sweet. Tyree heads off to the military leaving Eva behind. They make plans and promises. Then, they are torn apart. I don’t want to give anything away. There is a second life for both of them, but those lives get torn apart as well. When they reconnect, it’s both of them and their 23 year old daughter. This story is all heart. It made me all gooey and warm inside. Get it on is about how love can find you at any age. You have to read this book if you just want something to help you smile. Did I mention that this one was my favorite of the series so far?? Five stars out of five!

I am voluntarily reviewing this arc.

Escort is a refreshing, extremely unique story. The escort, Hugo is hired by a beautiful 20 year old shut in, to take her virginity. Bea, is innocent and so different from his usual client. He is smitten immediately. This story is about troubled pasts. Two people, who at tender ages, should have been cared for instead of exploited. It the story of how circumstances do not have to break you. Kindness and love can win. I can’t explain, you just have to read for yourself, the genius that is Skye Warren’s writing. I absolutely loved this story! It gets 5 out of 5 beautiful shiny stares from me!!!!

Under His Ink by Maya Hughes

This book is an addictive ride so consider yourself warned. I was in the middle of a crazy storm that produced two snow days for my kids. I was prepping for a huge family party and I still could not put this book down. Maya Hughes has a way of writing that is compelling and captivating. Ivan and Dahlia are a couple that you just want to root for. Their story is a second chance kind of story. They were together as teenagers. He was born to a Russian crime family, and she to a cop. Now, many years later, they meet again because he just can’t stay away. He’s trying to get out from under the control of his mob boss uncle while she is just being discovered for her talent and compassion. Where does the tattooing come in? She’s a tattoo artist, specializing in covering up tattoos that are from being involved in organized crime, or gangs.

She even helps with breast cancer survivors in the reconstruction process.

There is action in this book, there is romance, and there is plenty of chemistry. Once again, Maya Hughes writes a story that I am in love with!

Nightclub Surprise by Michelle Love

Nightclub Surprise by Michelle Love

I am voluntarily reviewing this arc.

Nightclub surprise is a hot, heart warming book. The story starts with a twenty one year old August, last night before going into the Marines, having an unbelievable night with his eighteen year old next door neighbor. They have the one night and then don’t see each other for seven years. They accidentally bump into each other, and their chemistry has not faded one bit. Now they have to get to know each other again. He has difficulties to get past with his PTST after years in the military. And she has a huge secret of her own. The story is very well paced and the characters are memorable and completely lovable.

I couldn’t put it down.

Great story!

Rex is a single father of adorable twin five year old boys. He is on the run when he stumbles into a tucked away inn and meets Tabby. Tabby is stuck in her life, helping her grandfather run the inn. Their story is beauty. There is so much depth and beauty to this story. I loved it!

This is a sweet romance. Nolan has a morning radio show with a colorful sense of comedy. Shelby is an extremely academic accountant. Just as opposites attract, their chemistry is instant. I loved the twists and turns the story took, and I enjoyed every word.

Crux Untamed by Tillie Cole

This moving, heart wrenching story belongs to Sia, Ky’s sister, and best friends, Cowboy and Hush. Their stories rip your heart out with the cruelty that they have each faced. This book is about the struggle to live and come back to life after a horrible abduction. The struggle to go on when you know that there are those out there being treated like goods to be traded and sold. Then there is Hush’s story. Facing racism day in day out because his white mother and black father fell in love and he was the product of that love. This is the story of how to live and love after you’ve seen the worst that humanity has to offer.

Crux Untamed is book 6, and it is every bit as compelling as books 1-5. If you’re a Hangman fan, this will not disappoint you. I could not put it down! There is so much beauty in the bravery of these unforgettable characters. I loved it!
