Survival of the Richest by Skye Warren

I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.

Skye Warren doesn’t just write books, she creates people. She sculpts worlds with her words, and we the readers get to experience and explore.

This tangled love story had my heart pounding like I just ran a marathon. There is so much honesty and love and heartache and compassion and complication between these characters. I don’t want to give anything away, because honestly, this story was a surprise, and I think that was half the fun. I cannot wait for the next book! Thank you Skye Warren for a beautiful read!

An heiress without a cause.

Two billionaires determined to claim her.

And a war fought on the most dangerous battlefield–the heart.

My story starts with a plunge into the cold water of Manhattan’s harbor.

A strong hand hauls me back onto the deck of the luxury yacht. Christopher was supposed to be my enemy. Instead he protects me with fierce determination.

That should have been my happily ever after, but then Sutton appeared–ruthless and seductive. He doesn’t care that my heart belongs to someone else, because he’s determined to win. No matter the cost.

It’s an impossible choice, but I can’t have them both.

The Virgin’s Dance by Michelle Love

I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.

This was a fun, sexy read, with action too. Boh and Pilot are a love at first sight story. They just take off from the beginning and get stronger throughout the book. There is no cheating and a beautiful HEA, so this book was a win for me!!!

Swallow me Whole by Gemma James

I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.

This book had me right from the start. Betrayal, so hurtful, my heart was pounding and sad. Followed by hotness times a thousand, and that was the first few pages.

Swallow me Whole is about the love that builds between a girl and her best friends’ brother. Their attraction and then love, is beautiful. I love that there is total loyalty between these two. I could not put this book down. I missed precious sleep but it was worth it. This book should be next on your to be read list!! I loved it!

Tie Me Down by Michelle Hazen

Tie Me Down by Michelle Hazen

I read at the end of this novella, that this was supposed to be an epilogue. I totally get why this needed to be a novella. Danny and Kate needed their own book. Their love story is so intense and simple yet utterly complicated. The end of this book was so satisfying for me.

Great read! I recommend it!!!

The Boyfriend Experience by JA Huss

The Boyfriend Experience, Jordan’s Game by J.A. Huss

I am voluntarily reviewing this arc.

The boyfriend experience is a book filled with twists and turns. Oakley and Lawton are part of Jordan’s “Boyfriend experience”. Oakley, a beautiful, rich, beer empire heiress, buys into the boyfriend experience. When Lawton agrees, with his own agenda, he is stunned as to why this gorgeous, intelligent woman would have to buy a boyfriend. As we go deeper into the story, we see there is a much bigger plot than would appear.

This book is interesting and steamy and has visits from some of my friends from other J.A. Huss books. Once again, I’m hooked.

Gent by Harloe Rae

Gent by Harloe Rae

I am voluntarily reviewing this arc.

I never read Harloe Rae before, so I didn’t know what to expect. This book was AWESOME ! I LOVE how she wrote both of these characters. Raven is kind compassionate and full of back bone all at the same time. Trey is wounded and closed off but unbelievably drawn to this woman. Trey shut down after he lost his family. He now only engages is shallow relationships. He tries this with Raven but she blurs all those lines for him. Their journey from attraction to trust to love is so addicting to read. I loved this one with all my heart!!!

Raven Elliot blasts into town like a wrecking ball—striking and devastating.
With a few simple words, my reliable routine crumbles to dust.

“Is this seat taken?”

I could close my eyes and let her voice wrap around me like a lover’s caress.
But this isn’t that kind of story.
And I’m sure as hell not that kind of man.

She hovers in my space, batting her lashes and smiling shyly.
The glimmer in her sapphire eyes is a promise of peace.
But I’m not falling for it.
And Raven doesn’t take the hint.

What starts as a battle of wills, explodes into a turf war.
She stands directly in my path everywhere I turn.
No matter how hard I shove, she won’t budge.
Raven seems dead set on driving me insane.
But I was here first.
And I’m not going down easy.

After all, no one ever taught me how to treat a lady.

“Listen, babe—”
She holds up her hand like a stop sign and for some reason, having her interrupt doesn’t bother me.
“Did you just babe me?” Her question is all sass.
“Sure did, sweetheart. Call ‘em like I see ‘em. Don’t pretend to be offended. We both know why you’re over here talking to me.”
Her face turns an adorable shade of pink. “First, stop with the nicknames. Second, are you for real? What the hell is wrong with you?”
“I don’t see any issue. You’re the one disrupting my quiet evening.”
“What the… I mean, seriously? I want to sit down and this is the only available spot. You honestly think I came over here to hit on you?”
Her ridiculous question doesn’t deserve a response. My glare matches hers as I silently explain my opinion on the matter. My expression must tell her everything she needs to know.
“Wow, you’re an asshole.”
“You’re the third woman to call me that tonight. Be careful, I might get a complex.”
“Aw, poor baby. I’d hate to dent your fragile ego,” she snips with a curl in her lip.
“There’s nothing fragile about me. Don’t worry. I’m hard and solid. Wanna feel?” I ask and pat my abs.
She nods to my hands. “No, thanks. I’d hate for you to rub off on me.”
“Does the grease under my nails bother you? Princess is afraid of getting a little dirty?”
“Do you get a rise out of being mean?”
I lean against the bar and cross my arms. “I don’t get many complaints. You’re not from around here, so I’ll fill you in—the ladies love me.”
“Pretty sure I saw Barbie McCleveage storm off after chatting with you. She didn’t look too satisfied.”
“Now who’s using nicknames? Jealous much?”
“Hardly,” she huffs.
I smirk before checking out her rack, being extremely obvious about it. Pushing her buttons takes away the tension from earlier, replacing it with a surprising ease. Fighting with her is the most nonsexual fun I’ve had with a woman in a long time. Wonder how she’d react if I called her ma’am.
“All right, all right. You’ve broken me down. I was set on not having any company tonight, but for you, I’ll make an exception. If you insist on standing here, blabbing away, I’ve got far better uses for that luscious mouth. My place isn’t too far away,” I suggest while waggling my brows. My behavior is over the top, but what can I say? She’s bringing out the best in me.
Her lips part in shock. This stranger just stares at me, and I’m sure she’s about to turn away… or slap me. Either way, mission accomplished.
But this chick is full of surprises.

Constant Craving by Tamara Lush

Constant Craving by Tamara Lush

I am voluntarily reviewing this arc.

I enjoyed this epic love story. Justine and Rafael have a second chance at love. Once college sweethearts, tragedy separates them. Now, over a decade has past. They have a long road to see if they still have the same connection. It’s a bumpy and beautiful road that these two are on. I loved it. In the spirit of giving an honest review, without giving anything away, there is a part of this book that annoys me. Both Justine and Rafael have careers that are separated by many miles. The issue is Rafael wants Justine to follow him. He says she’s choosing her career over him if she doesn’t.

She realizes he is right and is sorry. Ummmm does anyone else have a problem with this logic? Aren’t both parties making a choice? I hated that she didn’t fight him on this. It’s ok to make concessions, but fair compromise should be at play.

Anyway, it’s a blip in the book and amends are made, but my feminist feathers were ruffled by this part.

Over all, very good read.
