Stay with me by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This book started out extremely good for me. It’s the story of Calla and Jax.
She has physical and emotional scars from a traumatic childhood. Jax is all in from second one with Calla and I really liked that. He doesn’t see her scars. He makes her feel beautiful. This book has mysteries to solve and poor Calla has a lot to over come. There was one point in this book though that gave me that ick moment. A lot is happening . Lives are in danger but Jax remembers he had a bachelor party to go to. He says he doesn’t want to go. He wants to protect calla, but she insists he go to unwind. Um, what??!! Could that ever happen, that a girlfriend tells her boyfriend to go watch hot chicks take off their clothes. Still a little nauseous about that one. Especially because he doesn’t seem to understand that it is not cool to let ex lovers be all over you. It is not cool to make the love of your life feel bad for being jealous, but then again she sent him to a strip club??

The book was great for me till like 75% through, then these little things just annoyed me.

Be with me by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This is book 2 in the wait for you series. As you know I accidentally read out of order, book 4 then 1 now 2. This wasn’t my favorite, I’m sorry to say. Jase, Tess’s big brothers best friend, was the hot crush she never got over. Jase has so many issues, it’s a little annoying. He’s cold then hot then cold then hot. My heart hurts for Tess as she deals with getting over the hurt from an abusive ex, the guilt that her brothers life took a hit as he beat the pulp out of said ex boyfriend and recieves punishment for it. What else, she hurt her knee jeapodizing her dancing career. Then hurt it again, ending her chances of ever dancing again. The list goes on and on as to what this girl endures. And through it all, Jase pulls his relationship, bi polar tendencies. It was all ok for me until she just forgave him so quickly after he pushed her away for the last time. I mean, make him grovel a little. This book was ok, better than I’m making it seem. Just, not as good as 1 and 4. But… I am onto number 3!

Wait for you by Jennifer L. Armentrout writing as J. Lynn

This is book one in the wait for you series. It was just, wonderful! Avery is a girl with a tragic incident in her childhood, and no one to back her up and support her. Going to college, far away from a life she wants to separate from, she starts over. She makes friends. And she meets the delicious Cameron. Cam is relentless in his perusal of her. He is also patient and faithful to his heart and his feelings. Cam, having his own demons as we all do, befriends Avery as they begin to heal together.

It’s just such a great story! Such captivating writing! J. Lynn…you make me smile!!!

Spin by CD Reis

Ugh!!!!! I hate this!!! You know how I hate not giving good reviews, but I owe it to you to be honest. So, I started this book and right away I was lost. To many characters. I wasn’t clear what was happening with the main character as she had 3 jobs, but she was an heiress. I didn’t understand that when she was describing one job that she was actually in another, if that makes sense. The chemistry didn’t work for me between the hero and the heroine. Although , I will say it was steamy at times. The first half of this book was a fail for me. The second half picked up and it became less of a chore to read it and I came to understand what was going on and care for some of the characters. Maybe it was just me. Maybe I was just PMSing when I read it. I don’t know. I like CD Reis and will continue to read her books, just not maybe this series. I really don’t want to rate this book cause it feels mean. Lets just say all around, it lingered between a 2-2+ out of 1-5 in all categories.

Fall with me by Jennifer L. Armentrout

OK, so I am really, really, really mad. I read this book and felt like, at times, I was coming in the middle of a story. Why is that? Because I was!!!! This is book 4 in the Wait for you series!!! Ugh!!!!! I accidentally started on book 4. Can I pleae emplore all the authors out there to put the series number on the cover of the book. Pretty please!!! Well, what’s done is done. I will say that loved this book! I loved this sassy love story between Roxy (love that name) and Reece. This was a story of a girl who’s been in love with this guys since she’s a teenager, and their discovery of one another. It is also the story of regret, and dealing with the “what if’s” of life. The story between Roxy and her best friend, that had a brain injury that changed both of their lives, broke my heart. Roxy is a multi-dimensional character. And this is a story that is real and lovable!

The Redemption Of Callie and Kayden By Jessica Sorensen

This is book 2. Book 1 was the Coincidence of Callie and Kayden. I loved that  book. The beginning of this book, I got scared. It looked as though Callie was going to be crushed, and she has been through quite enough. However, I’m happy to report that Callie was not crushed. This book was very realistic for me. For those of us that are survivors of some sort of childhood abuse, justice isn’t always in the traditional form. In real life, some bad guys get away with their crimes. Not every child is believed when they tell their story to trusted family. Not every child feels safe to reveal their story for fear of being hurt or shame or any number of reasons. But, during my 46 years on this planet I  have learned that justice has a way of doling itself out. The assailants, usually, in some way or another get their just reward. Most people don’t even know of it happening, but it does. The justice for Callie and Kayden similarly doesn’t come in a tidy little package, but more true to real life. And for Callie and Kayden, redemption comes in the openness of people to find love and to want to heal. And I have to say, in this story, Seth is the true unsung hero. He was the one that accepted Callie and tought her to trust. Just had to say that, I know he is not real…but his charachter was so special to me.

The coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen

This book stopped me in my tracks, reached into my heart, and just set up camp there. It’s a story of how a single moment of evil can change a persons life. And this is a story about how you can move on little by little and find healing. It’s also a story about how a life time of evil moments can threaten to rip apart a soul, but the tenacity of the human spirit to not let evil win. It’s heavy, but not heavy if that makes sense. Sometimes books with these topics weigh on you and you feel just like, yuk. But this story was written in a way that you’re able to feel without being crushed. I just want to hug Callie (the heroine ) really really tight! And her best friend Seth, I just want to pinch his adorable cheeks and thank him for being the only person that Callie can open up to and finally feel accepted and cared for. But Kayden. Kayden is the hero that you love to read. He’s the hero you hope for the females in your life. He comes with his baggage but doesn’t let it affect his ability to love, and I love that about him. I will warn you his book ends on a cliff hanger, so when you are 3/4 done, order book 2!
